Discovery

These pieces began as a way to move through the slower pace of winter and create something light and intuitive.

I started by laying down paint and letting it move freely, without direction. As the layers settled, charcoal lines were introduced—gently forming what felt like trees. From there, each piece unfolded naturally into a landscape.

There’s a quiet sense of discovery within the process—responding to what appears, rather than forcing an outcome. Each stage brought something new, and I followed that lead, allowing the painting to become what it needed to be.
